Edwin BAKER b. abt. 1821...Merchant, as shown on steamer "Arago" passenger list 1860, arriving in New York, U.S.A. along with his wife Charlotte b. abt. 1815.

Shown as Retired Merchant on 1871 and 1881 British Census, with a birth place of Turks Island, Caicos. With them on both census is a Julia/Juliana LEVETT, sister-in-law.

Edwin BAKER could possibly have been born in either Brighton, Sussex OR Norwich, Norfolk; he possibly was known as Edwin David BAKER. There seems to be a good connection to Juliana Mary Isabelle LEVETT who died 22 March 1888 @ 30 York-road, Shoreham, Steyning, Sussex. Juliana was shown as Edwin's sister-in-law; hence either Julianna married Edwin's brother OR Juliana was a sister of Edwin's wife, Charlotte Jane DAINES. The location of death for Juliana LEVETT was the same as the location  where Edwin David BAKER died on 30th May, 1894; he was a "retired wine merchant' who suffered from Epilepsy for many years, and died with his bride C. J. BAKER in attendance (probably Charlotte Jane BAKER)
Hopefully yours,
Barb Baker, Ontario, Canada.
